Water Management
Draft water sharing plans
All draft water sharing plans are placed on public exhibition to enable feedback from interested parties. All submissions are taken into account in the finalisation of the statutory plan. The plan is formally endorsed by the Minister for Water as well as the Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, and becomes a statutory document under the Water Management Act 2000.

Draft Water Sharing Plan for the Bega and Brogo Rivers Area Unregulated, Regulated and Alluvial Water Sources
Public submissions for the draft plan are invited up to 16 November 2009. Please read the background information below and use the submission form (PDF 128 KB) to have your say.
The draft plan includes rules for protecting the environment, water extraction, managing licence holders' water accounts, and water trading in 12 water sources.
