Graduate Program

This Program provides exciting employment opportunities for graduates with a keen interest in energy and water issues and/or an interest in working in Government.

Our graduate program offers successful candidates work in the critical areas of energy and water research, analysis and policy or in supporting the organisation in this work. The Department recruits graduates for up to two years with opportunities for permanent placement arising throughout the program for the top performers. Over the two year program, graduates can expect to work in a number of different sections within the Department and undertake a range of development activities.

The Department has offices across NSW and encourages applicants from regional areas.

Due to the broad scope of work undertaken by our Department, we require graduates from a number of different disciplines, including:

• Engineering
• Science
• Economics / Business / Arts etc, with a view to working in Policy and Program Delivery.

We are looking for graduates who:

• Are creative and innovative
• Have conceptual and analytical ability
• Show drive and commitment
• Are flexible in their approach to work
• Are team players
• Have excellent oral and written communications skills
• Are motivated and willing to learn.
